About Me

I have been a Tango instructor for more than 24years- Having begun my initial training at the Young Society Weavers (1999-2001). In 2003, I went on to pursue my studies in Classical and Modern Dance at the Superior Academy of Arts in Bogota. The following year, I established 'Elemento Latino School', to which I am the sole Owner and Director. Since 1999, I have worked on various Tango projects as a teacher, throughout Universities in Bogota. I was able to establish myself as a respected artist at a young age.

I relocated to Argentina in 2008, where I received a government grant to study Folklore and Tango at the National University of the Arts UNA-BsAs Argentina. I later joined UNA as a formal dancer.

In my professional career from the years 2011 to 2016, I had the opportunity and privilege to take part in many audiovisual projects as a dancer and choreographer under the direction of renowned Argentine choreographer, Leonardo Cuello. In addition to this, I collaborated on various projects and undertook workshops taught by prominent educators like Silvio la Via, Carlos Rivarola, Ruben and Sabrina Veliz, Facundo and Vaneza, among others.

Further to this, I appeared as a performer in the 2015 film ‘Our Last Tango’ before returning back to my city of Bogota, to continue conducting classes and workshops at my established Dance school (now 'Leonardo Guerrero Dance'), in 2017.

Additionally, I have knowledge in physical training and fitness. All these educational processes have allowed us to build a vision and a way of reaching people from different points of view and with different objectives. I have traveled through different countries and cultures learning and contributing from my perspective and artistic experience to improve the quality of life of people who need it. "My search and objective as a dancer and choreographer is to be able to transmit knowledge in a simpler way, carry a message and leave a seed in each person. It will be a personal goal that I want to carry out throughout my life."

In 2019, I visited Brisbane, Australia to share my love of Tango. Since then, I have been travelling throughout Australia, promoting and spreading my passion I have for dance culture.
