About Me.

I am the Director of Artistic and Cultural Projects, as well as a seasoned Tango instructor, dancer and choreographer- with over 24 years of experience in the performing arts. My work combines leadership in cultural initiatives with a profound dedication to teaching and sharing the art of dance.

My journey began with my initial training at the Young Society Weavers (1999-2001), laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for artistic expression. In 2003, In 2004 I won the university tango competition in Bogota - Colombia. I pursued formal studies in Classical and Modern Dance at the Superior Academy of Arts in Bogotá, Colombia, and later achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Folklore with a specialization in Tango from the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 2004, I founded Elemento Latino School (now known as Leonardo Guerrero Dance), where I continue to serve as Owner and Director, creating a platform for cultural exchange and community engagement. Since 1999, I have collaborated with universities across Colombia on diverse Tango and dance projects, gaining recognition as a respected artist and educator early in my career.

My educational background is complemented by:

  • Contemporary and Classical Dance training at the Higher Academy of Arts of Bogotá, Colombia.

  • A degree in Political and Administrative Sciences from the Higher School of Public Administration.

  • Expertise in physical training and fitness, which enhances my approach to choreography and movement.

Having traveled and worked across various countries and cultures, I have dedicated my career to fostering cultural exchange, enriching communities, and improving lives through artistic projects and dance.

Mission Statement:
"As a Director, dancer, and choreographer, my mission is to share artistic knowledge in a way that is accessible and transformative. By inspiring curiosity and creativity, I aim to leave a meaningful and lasting impression on others, contributing to the beauty and diversity of cultural expression."
